On May 18, the reporter learned from the Sinopec Information Office that the distributed photovoltaic power generation project of Sinopec Jiangsu Changzhou Petroleum Jiaze Gas Station was officially put into operation recently. According to the comprehensive assessment of Nanjing Institute of Environmental Science of the Ministry of ecology and environment, the photovoltaic power generation capacity of the station can offset the power consumption in the station, and the carbon emission reduction can offset the carbon emission. It has become the first gas station in China to achieve carbon neutrality, which has symbolic significance in the industry.
The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) defines carbon neutrality as the balance between global anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions and carbon dioxide removal over a given period of time. The distributed photovoltaic power generation project of Jiaze gas station adopts the mode of "spontaneous self-use and surplus power on the Internet" to realize uninterrupted switching with the State Grid, and uses photovoltaic power generation instead of coal-fired power generation to meet the demand for electricity in the station while supplying surplus power. It is estimated that the annual power generation of the photovoltaic power generation project of the station is 127000-147000 kWh, which can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 91.2-105.6 tons, and the power consumption of the station in 2020 is 99000 kWh. The data shows that the minimum annual power generation of the station can offset the annual power consumption, the carbon emission reduction can offset the carbon emission, and the net carbon dioxide emission reduction reaches 20.1-34.5 tons, achieving carbon neutrality.
According to the calculation of the theoretical life of the photovoltaic power station of 25 years, the distributed photovoltaic power generation project of Jiaze gas station can generate 3.379 million degrees of power cumulatively, with an average annual power generation of 135200 degrees. Compared with the traditional thermal power project, it can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 3800 tons, sulfur dioxide by 116 tons and nitrogen oxides by 56 tons during the whole life cycle. In addition, the station also achieves carbon emission reduction through various ways such as oil and gas recovery and sewage recovery treatment, helping to build a carbon neutral gas station.
