Classification:
NGL Recovery from Associated Gas in Oilfields
Stabilized light hydrocarbons and LPG are recovered using the intercooled direct heat exchange (DHX) process: Field-associated gas from the wellhead is first passed through a filtration and separation unit to remove any entrained free liquids and solid impurities, then compressed by a feed-gas compressor. The pressurized feed gas is subsequently sent to a feed-gas purification unit for decarbonization (depending on the CO₂ content) and dehydration. The purified gas then enters the NGL recovery unit, achieving a C³⁺ recovery rate of greater than 95%.
